What was I doing 10 yrs ago.....
10 yrs ago I was 14, I think I was in the 9th grade trying to figure out how to fight acne, what boy i liked, what boy liked me, and how to hang with the popular crowd so I could eat on "the stairs" at lunch. Anyone from Canyonview will understand.
5 yrs ago....
I was just coming home from college at dixie st. I had just met Derek who I was sure I wasn't going to marry (then I did a year later), I was trying to figure out what the heck I wanted to do with myself.

I had a 2 week old baby so I was probably trying to walk right again, very sleep deprived, cranky, and more in love with my husband and my new baby then ever!
Yesterday.......
I got up, picked up the house, did some hair, packed some things (were moving), went to McDonalds for lunch, then went out to build on our house.

Okay, as if I don't have anything important to do I am a little embarrassed to say that I love snooping around other blogs. Even people I don't know. I love seeing what other peoples blogs are like. I love finding out what people from high school are doing now and what they have done in the past. It is horribly addicting and I would recommend to any of you who also have the snooping tendency to plan adequate time to do so. Derek would die if he knew some of the time I put into my blogging fetish. What can I say, it's my new found hobby!!
Canyon turned 1 this last week and so we had a big party for him. It was so fun to have all of our friends and family here to celebrate with us.
As you can see, Canyon had 2 birthday cakes to tear into. Derek and I had a little competition to see who could make the best baseball cake. He won, since mine was a little girly.
I can't believe our little guy is already 1. Life goes fast!!
Today was so hot so I took Canyon out to swim with the neighbor kids.
Thank goodness for digital camera's. I always go a little over board with the pictures. Anyhow it was fun and 
he loved it.

Don't you wish you woke up this happy always!! I love peeking over the crib after Canyon wakes up. It is deffinetely one of the highlights of my day!!!
Even though Canyon is oly 10 Months old I made him and Easter basket full of these crazy faced eggs.
I thought the grass would be a hit and a mess but as you can tell by the look on his face it wasn't. He hated it and was so digusted by the feel of it. It was hilarious. He wouldn't reach in and grab another egg because the grass was in the way.
We filled the eggs with candy so they would make noises when he shook them. He loved it.

Since this was one of the first nice days of Spring I just had to let Canyon play outside. Canyon thinks he is hot stuff sitting here next to my friend Abby's little girl Taegyn.
Here are my boys!! Derek wants to get Canyon started early with the motorcycle stuff. I think we will hold off a little longer!
My little Bro got home from his mission this week!!! Yeah! He served in Mexico and loved it. I had been sending him pictures of Canyon but it was pretty exciting the first time they met. Canyon was a little unsure at first but he has warmed up fast.
I am very excited he is home. He has been a great example to me.
